Intelsat is due to launch its fifth EpicNG high throughput satellite, Intelsat 37e, from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, next week.
Intelsat 37e is due to be launched by Arianespace on an Ariane 5 launch vehicle on September 5, 2017 at 5:51 pm eastern daylight time.
Intelsat’s C, Ku- and Ka-bands will provide coverage to broadband, mobility and government customers in the Americas, Africa and Europe.
The all-digital satellite will be placed into service at 342° East and will replace Intelsat 901, which will be repositioned to another orbital location.
Intelsat launched its fourth EpicNG high throughput satellite, Intelsat 35e, after two false starts at the beginning of July from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Intelsat 35e will offer C- and Ku-band services for wireless infrastructure, mobility, broadband, government and media customers in the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa.
