Record month for ITV Hub

July was the most successful month on record for UK BVOD service ITV Hub.

Driven by coverage of UEFA Euro 2020, along with soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street, and the return of hit reality series Love Island, viewers consumed 93.3 million hours of content in the month. This was a 221% increase on the previous year.

The broadcaster also said that the number of monthly active users increased by 119% year-over-year to a record, while recording a total of 219 million live streams throughout the month.

ITV Hub+, the premium ad-free version of the streamer, reached 567,000 subscribers.

Rufus Radclifffe, ITV managing director, On Demand, said: “We knew this Summer was going to be a big TV moment with the most talked-about events on ITV, but these figures show just how successful ITV Hub has been in bringing those ‘can’t miss’ occasions to viewers. From live viewing of the Euros to catching up on last-night’s Love Island and making sure not a minute of the Soaps is missed plus all of our Drama and Reality boxsets, it’s testament to the work of the Hub team that more people than ever are using the service.”
