4K UHD broadcaster Insight TV has continued its expansion drive with a new distribution deal with Vectra.
Vectra is Poland’s largest cable platform, and the deal will see Insight’s channel reach over 1.7 million subscribers in the country.
Insight TV’s 4K UHD channel will launch on September 1 in the country, with a feed fully localised for the Polish market. The broadcaster said that it worked with its Polish agent 2Ends Telecom to secure this distribution deal with Vectra.
It also noted that this partnership “further cements Insight TV’s commitment to viewers in Poland.”
Adina Gorita, distribution manager, Insight TV, said: “Poland is an important market for Insight TV: both in terms of its size and significance ,” said “Vectra is a great platform partner for us and we are delighted to now be available to its subscribers in stunning 4K UHD.”
This deal follows a similar distribution partnership in Russia with leading pay TV operator Tricolor, and has also recently agreed deals in Romania, Turkey, Poland and Switzerland.
In late June, Insight signed a 12-month content licensing deal with Chinese streaming giant iQiyi. The deal sees 125 episodes of Insight’s library of original content available to the streamer’s 560 million monthly active users.
