Video ad serving platform SpotX has announced interoperability with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power server-side insertion for streaming video advertisements with the AWS Elemental MediaTailor service.
AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a personalisation and monetisation service that is designed to enable video to be served with targeted ads to end users while maintaining broadcast quality-of-service for multiscreen video applications.
AWS Elemental MediaTailor can function as a standalone service or within a larger video workflow that includes other AWS Elemental MediaLive, AWS Elemental MediaConvert and AWS Elemental MediaPackage.
The SpotX cloud-based ad serving platform works with AWS Elemental MediaTailor to enable monetisation of live and on-demand video workflows for multiscreen applications, according to SpotX.
SpotX provides ad decisioning capabilities in server-side ad insertion environments, giving video providers the ability to insert ads dynamically targeted to users. The resulting advertisements are optimised with video quality on par with the anchor content and are simpler to manage across multi-platform environments, according to the company.
