The app will enable YouSee customers to stream their TV content to other rooms in the house, or to their holiday homes, via retail Android TV devices.
The telco said the app was the first step in a major strategy to deliver TV content across multiple platforms.
YouSee said that a growing number of people in Denmark now own Android TV devices. The YouSee TV & Film app will enable customers to watch YouSee services in multiple rooms via the web, and also to v view content at second homes.
Jacob Mortensen, YouSee’s broadband director, said that the company would also make its content available via Apple TVs and smart TVs, without specifying when this would be.
YouSee customers can download the app from the Google Play Store and log in with their usual details. The streaming service is free for all YouSee TV customers.
