The Kudelski Group has dismissed all pending patent litigation with Hulu, after reaching an agreement with patent risk management services firm RPX Corp.
The move marks the latest patent agreement to be reached by Switzerland-based TV technology specialist after it reached a licence deal with Apple earlier this month.
The Apple deal dismissed all pending patent litigation between the two firms. Kudelski subsidiaries Nagravision and OpenTV filed claims for three patent infringements against Apple in the Düsseldorf District Court in Germany back in 2014.
In May of this year, Kudelski also settled all patent litigation it had with Yahoo, with the two companies entering a patent license agreement whereby Yahoo agreed to make a one-time up-front license fee payment to Kudelski.
Financial terms and further details of the Hulu agreement were not disclosed.
