Last year UK broadcaster Channel 4 claimed its first all-time TV viewing share increase since 2006.
Citing consolidated BARB ratings, Channel 4 said that its viewing share for 2015 was 5.92%, up +1% on 2014. Viewing share during the peak time of 19:00 to 23:00 was 6.96%, up 8% on 2014.
“Channel 4 has had a fantastic year with hits in every genre and a bucket load of awards. I’m grateful to the amazing producers, directors and writers we work with and to my hugely talented commissioning team at 4,” said Channel 4’s chief creative officer, Jay Hunt.
BBC 1 also recorded a +1% rise in all-time viewing in 2015, according to the BARB stats.
