HBO extends data deal with Conviva

HBO Now Apple TVHBO has extended its partnership with video analytics and optimisation company Conviva to also cover its standalone streaming service, HBO Now.

HBO can use Conviva’s platform for metrics and analytics about how HBO Now content is performing across devices, allowing it to make decisions to ensure the best viewing experience for Now users.

Conviva has provided video optimisation support for HBO’s TV everywhere initiatives – including HBO Go and Max Go – since May 2011. HBO Now launched in the US last year.
