Telco AT&T has inked a deal with Hulu and will make the streaming and catch-up service available via its websites and mobile services.
The agreement covers the paid-for Hulu+ subscription service, which AT&T subs will be able to access on their connected mobile devices by using the dedicated AT&T app. The new service will cost US$7.99 a month and roll out later this year.
“We know that our customers want to be able to access video on multiple devices,” said Andrew Goodman, associate VP, AT&T content acquisition. “So we’re excited to be able to expand our relationship with Hulu and make its innovative and vast video selections available to AT&T customers on multiple screens.”
AT&T and Hulu also are exploring the possibility of bringing a Hulu app to TV, the telco said in a statement.

Hulu+ has content from US chanenls including ABC, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, Fox, and MTV.
AT&T said the agreement compliments its other OTT initiatives, which include Otter Media, a joint venture with The Chernin Group set up to invest in, acquire and launch OTT video services.
