SFR adds broadband-plus-tablet bundle to Box + High Tech range

Altice-owned French service provider SFR has launched a box offering bundled with a tablet for the first time.

Using the sub-brand Box + High Tech, SFR is offers s fixed-line subscription linked with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 tablet. The operator describes the offering as unique in allowing consumers to acquire the equipment at minimal cost.

The operator has previously bundled its fixed-line box with a flat-screen TV in 2020, following up with a bundle of box plus game console in 2021 and a box-plus-video projector and box-plus-PC the following year.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 32 Go, which is available to subscribers taking out a 24-month contract, is worth €249 at retail, and SFR is offering it at a nominal price of €1.

The device comes with a 10.5-inch screen offering 1920 x 1200 pixels and comes with four AKG stereo speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos.

Eric Pradeau, executive director of consumer business for SFR, said: “With this new offering, SFR completes its range enabling French people to acquire digital equipment. Already foreshadowed with its offers associating the TV, console, video projector and PC with its high-speed broadband offerings, SFR is showing once again its desire to answer the needs of customers  and to best accompany them in all their digital use cases.”
