Key Tele2 executives to leave in September

Tele2 chief financial officer Mikael Larsson and EVP and chief commercial officer Samuel Skott are leave the company on September 1.

Mikael Larsson

Larsson joined Tele2 in 2018 as former CFO of Com Hem. He played an instrumental part in the merger and the integration of the two companies, including international consolidation and taking steps towards 5G, Remote PHY and fixed-mobile convergence.

On leaving the company he will take on the role of operating partner at the investment firm Triton.

“Mikael’s financial knowledge and experience impressed me from the start. He has ensured that Tele2 and Com Hem combined their businesses into the strong, resilient and highly cash generative company Tele2 is today. I would like to thank Mikael for his contribution to Tele2 and wish him all the best going forward,” said Kjell Johnsen, President and CEO of Tele2.

Skott joined Tele2 in 2005 and filled a number of commercial and product-oriented roles before taking responsibility for Tele2’s Swedish B2C unit.

More recently as CCO, he led the preparation and launch of the newly combined Tele2 brand, integrating the previous Com Hem services into one converged Tele2.

Tele2 said Skott had decided to pursue new opportunities and would also leave Tele2 on September 1.

“Samuel is a great and charismatic leader who has always lived Tele2 values to their full extent. He has successfully executed on our more-for-more strategy and has brought our commercial capabilities for mobile, broadband and entertainment together to pave way for future converged offerings. I thank Samuel for everything he’s given Tele2 and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” saidJohnsen.

The company said that the search for suitable replacements for the pair would commence immediately.
