OTT and smart TV solutions provider ZEASN has announced a partnership with Chinese VOD platform iQIYI.
The deal will see iQIYI launch on ZEASN’s Whale Eco home digital entertainment ecosystem, which is running on tens of millions of devices around the world. The ecosystem is centered on Whale OS, with the company saying that it prioritises “professional and secure IT cloud services, powerful SaaS cloud platforms, and diverse smart devices.”
iQIYI International, owned by iQIYI, is one of the largest streaming platforms in China and is currently one of the largest online video sites in the world. Its content library includes over 3,000 Chinese dramas, Korean series, variety shows and anime, and a growing selection of exclusive content. It offers both free and paid-for subscription tiers.
The streamer has rapidly expanded in Southeast Asia since its June 2019 launch, and the company said that this partnership with ZEASN will help to further its presence around the world.
Jason He, CEO of ZEASN, said: “We are extremely delighted that iQIYI has chosen ZEASN to extend their smart TV footprint. Through our well-established Whale Eco, we can help iQIYI deliver its diverse content to tens of millions of smart devices, thereby growing app engagement, usage, and revenue. Our goal is to bring unparalleled viewing experiences to audiences around the world, while also helping our partners achieve success through Whale Eco.”
