Vodafone first to offer Eurosport Player in Spain

Vodafone España has become the first Spanish service provider to integrate the Eurosport Player app into its TV service.

Eurosport-owner Discovery and Vodafone have struck an agreement to incorporate Eurosport Player into Vodafone TV. Eurosport Player will be available on the TV screen via Vodafone’s set-top boxes and will also be available multi-screen from any device.

Customers with Vodafone TV’s Sport pack, which already includes the Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 TV channels, will have access to Eurosport Player at no additional cost.

Eurosport Player includes coverage of the likes of Roland-Garros, US Open and Australian Open tennis, the cycling Grand Tours featuring the Tour de France and La Vuelta, and major motor racing events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Eurosport is also the home of the Olympic Games in Europe, with exclusive rights to screen every minute of the Games on its digital platforms for Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024.

In addition to features such as the ability to choose which court to follow during a tennis Grand Slam and seelecting from multiple-camera option during big events, Eurosport Player will provide a range of thematic channels with exclusive content around each discipline, as well as specific pop up channels during the main events.
