Noggin expands Apple TV footprint by more than double

Noggin, the SVOD dedicated to ViacomCBS’s preschool channel Nick Jr., has expanded its global footprint by more than double on Apple TV channels.

The app is now available via Apple TV in 38 new territories throughout Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. This follows the service’s initial launch on the Apple TV app in March in over 25 territories, including the US, UK, Germany, France and multiple markets in Southeast Asia.

The streamer offers educational content for children aged 2+ featuring recognisable characters from the likes of PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, and Shimmer and Shine. It first launched in 2015 in the US and has consistently ranked at the top of app store charts in the family and kids categories.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, ViacomCBS is offering a 60 day free trial to new users who sign up to Noggin during April. Through Family Sharing, up to six family members can share subscriptions to Apple TV channels using their Apple ID and password.

On the initial launch of Noggin on Apple TV in March, David Lynn, president and CEO of ViacomCBS Networks International said: “Offering our iconic kids content to Apple TV subscribers in more than 25 territories is an important step in advancing our international premium streaming strategy. With the launch of Noggin on Apple TV channels, we’re excited to reach even more kids and families on a platform that they’re already using.”

Noggin is also available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, and Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.
