ProSiebenSat.1 has agreed the sale of its travel website Weg.de to Lastminute.com. The German broadcaster is selling the shares of Comvel GmbH, which operates the Weg.de site, to the e-commerce group.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. ProSiebenSat.1 began a strategic review of its travel portfolio last spring, and the group last June sold all of its shares in online travel agency Etraveli to financial investor CVC.
ProSiebenSat.1 recently reorganised its business into three pillars encompassing entertainment, content production and global sales, and commerce respectively.
Under the new structure, the group’s non-TV-related commerce business operates as NCG-Nucom group, with a focus on four categories of activity: home services and mobility; leisure and relationships, health and beauty and style.
The company said at the time of the reorganisation that it planned to sell its remaining interest in the online travel business following the earlier disposal of its Etraveli unit.
