YouTube VR launches on Steam platform
YouTube has launched the YouTube VR app on the Steam platform, making it available via PC-connected Vive headsets.
The Steam launch, which is targeted specifically at Vive users, marks an ‘early access’ version of YouTube VR.
YouTube said it is working on building a “complete YouTube VR experience on Steam” and will use feedback to inform design and development.
“We’ll be adding support for more VR headsets and custom in-app experiences soon,” it added.
YouTube VR is already available via Google’s own mobile VR platform, Daydream.
