Liberty Global’s Swiss and Austrian unit has formed an exclusive partnership with Red Bull Media House to include the latter’s content on the new MySports premium sports offering.
MySports will carry existing Red Bull content including the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and Red Bull Crashed Ice competitions as well as new content created within the partnership.
MySports, which is launching in Austria on September 8, will also carry volley and basketball tournaments as well as cycling, motorsports and freestyle sports.
The MySports schedule also includes magazines, features and documentaries from Red Bull’s programme makers.
The content will be shown on both the basic channel, MySports HD, as well as in the broader MySports Pro channel package.
The cooperation with Red Bull Media House will initially run for three years.
“Thanks to the partnership and complementary programming through the live events and magazines from Red Bull Media House, we can up the adrenaline ante for our viewers even further while presenting new scheduling focal points. I am thrilled that we can offer our viewers such a wide variety of sports,” said Steffi Buchli, MySports director of programming.
