Fox Networks Group has made more HD content available on Antenna Hungária-owned Hungarian digital-terrestrial pay TV service MinDig TV Extra via HbbTV applications.
MinDig TV Extra subscribers can now watch Fox, Nat Geo and Nat Geo Wild shows in HD resolution via HbbTV-connected smart TVs. Viewers can switch to HD resolution of the services by pressing the yellow button on their remote controls.
The addition of the Fox channels to the platform will bring HD content including Outcast, The Simpsons, The Walking Dead and The Story of God with Morgan Freeman to MinDig TV Premium subscribers.
According to Antenna Hungária, about 18.5% of Hungarian households currently have an HbbTV-enabled TV set. The copany launched a pilot HbbTV service, MinDig TV, Plus in 2013, followed by a commercial service in collaboration with MTVA in 2014.
