According to a report last week in French daily Le Figaro, Amazon could launch in all three markets simultaneously.
It may also opt for a pre-Christmas launch – similar to Netflix’s decision to go live in France in September, when it went live there in 2014.
In Europe, Amazon already offers Prime Video in the UK, Germany and Austria. In April the e-retail giant went head-to-head with Netflix by launching Prime Video as a standalone, pay-monthly service for the first time in the US.
