Vodafone Spain will provide coverage of La Liga football and the Spanish Copa del Rey to its Vodafone One customers in HD.
Vodafone will offer its subscribers a choice of 10 matches on each match day across thre channels, including the match of the day, all encounters involving Barcelona and Real Madrid and the two Clásicos featuring the pair.
Orange will offer a similar line-up, and will also include a selection of qualifying round matches for the Copa del Rey. Orange customers will be able to view Spanish football for €9.95 a month.
The agreements, terms of which were not disclosed, comes after a period of dispute between the two operators and Telefónica over the latter’s alleged monopolistic position in Spanish pay TV.
