Walthelm to take expanded programming role at Sky Deutschland

Elke Walthelm has been promoted to senior vice-president of partner channels for Sky Deutschland, managing relationships between the German arm of the European pay TV operator and channel partners, and has been given additional programming responsibilities.

In addition to partner management, Walthelm will take over some of the responsibilities previously held by Sky Deutschland programming EVP chief Gary Davey, who was recently appointed to a new role as overall managing director of content at Sky, dividing his time between London and Munich. Walthelm will report direct to Davey.

Walthelm has had responsibility for channel relations with Sky Deutschland since 2009 and has served as vice-president, partner channels, since 2012.
