Cloud-based streaming technology firm Octoshape has partnered with live streaming services company iStreamPlanet to offer multiscreen OTT and IPTV services for broadcasters.
The firms said that their integrated offering will provide content owners, aggregators and distributors complete solutions for live and on-demand streaming, from content acquisition to distribution – across different screens, globally.
The combined service will be based on iStreamPlanet’s cloud-based live video workflow solution, Aventus, and Octoshape’s Infinite HDM suite of multicast technologies.
“The combined and integrated platform value proposition for high quality, cost effective content acquisition, preparation and distribution enables a seamless transition for traditional broadcasters to offer a high quality OTT service,” said Michael Koehn Milland, CEO of Octoshape.
