Broadcast services provider Arqiva has secured UK distribution deals with France 24 and Freesat.
The five-year contract with news channel France 24 will see Arqiva providing multiplexing, uplinking and satellite services to deliver the channel’s English language feed to the BSkyB and Freesat DTH platforms as well as to various hotels.
Arqiva has also renewed its contract to deliver free-to-air platform Freesat’s electronic programme guide.
John Bozza, sales director, broadcast and media at Arqiva, said: “Arqiva’s international infrastructure and technical expertise at delivering critical transmission services provides major broadcasters with the highest levels of confidence. We are delighted that Freesat has chosen to renew our distribution contract and we look forward to maintaining the exceptional service levels they demand.”
