Swiss regulator says fibre plans could be anticompetitive

The Swiss competition regulator WEKO has found that joint projects by Swisscom and local public utility providers to build new fibre networks could pose a threat to competition in the market.

Cable operator UPC Cablecom said that the finding confirmed its own view and demanded that the various parties involved addressed WEKO’s concerns.
