Plex at 200 FTA channels

Streaming media Plex has reached a milestone of 200 free-to-stream live TV channels.

While initially making its name as a robust platform for consumers’ media libraries, Plex has quietly developed into a major player in free ad-supported television (FAST), with more than 200 live channels available in 193 countries.

Since launching its FAST business in 2020, Plex has signed partnerships with major content distributors including Lionsgate, AMC, A+E, Slightly Off by IFC, Popcornflix, Crackle, Euronews, and WE tv. It also has a range of Spanish-language channels, along with channels dedicated to documentary and children’s content.

Plex said that it is working towards bringing content providers and advertisers a deeper knowledge of “ad sales, analytics, data, and innovation to maximise campaign performance for marketers.”
