Waipu.tv secures catch-up and linear rights for NBCUniversal channels

Exaring-owned German streaming platform waipu.tv has extended a deal with NBCUniversal that will give it catch-up rights as well as linear distribution of channels 13th Street, Universal TV and SYFY.

The deal will include catch-up rights and additional functions such as instant restart, pause and recording.

With the contract extension, waipu.tv viewers will be able to continue to watch pay TV linear channels 13th Street, Universal TV and SYFY, offering a mix of series and films spanning detective stories, thrillers, family entertainment, science fiction and fantasy.

With the expanded rights package for catch-up content, waipu.tv customers will in future be able to catch up on missed episodes and programmes from the three channels.

waipu.tv counts one million subscription customers and reaches more than 30 million households in high quality via Exaring’s dedicated fibre network.
