TF1 secures French national football team rights

French broadcaster TF1 has struck a new deal with the French Football Federation and UEFA that gives it a series of linear and non-linear rights over the next few years until 2028.

TF1 has secured from UEFA exclusive rights to the matches of the French national team spanning the UEFA Nations League, friendly matches, UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers and UEFA Euro 2028 qualifiers.

The broadcaster has also secured exclusive free-to-air rights to the UEFA Euro 2028 tournament’s 25 best matches.

Separately, an enhancement of TF1’s partnership with the French Football Federation will give it access to what it describes as never-before- seen and inside the team footage that will enable it to produce series and documentaries around les Bleus.

TF1 said that, In addition to inside footage to bring viewers closer to les Bleus, the agreement will allow it to produce series and documentaries around the life of the French team for linear and digital exploitation.
