BritBox hires AMC’s Arnot as SVP of marketing

BritBox North America has hired Nada Arnot to the newly created post of SVP of marketing.

Reporting to BritBox North America head Emily Powers, Arnot will be charged with managing the marketing and communications across the business.

Arnot’s appointment comes at a time of significant expansion for the BBC Studios/ITV joint-venture and when the streamer is planning an expansion to 25 countries.

The exec joins from AMC Networks, where she served as GM of Sundance Now. She was also previously head of networks for AMC Networks’ SVOD business.

Arnot said: “I am thrilled to join the BritBox North America family and begin working on a brand that already has an authentic identity that is globally recognized. I believe this is an especially exciting time to be involved as interest in British entertainment is on the rise. I’m looking forward to engaging the service’s ever-expanding audience with fresh ideas involving all channels.”

BritBox America boss Powers said: “When I became Head of BritBox North America, one of my priorities was to develop our executive team and with Nada’s proven leadership and accomplishments in streaming, I am confident that she is exactly what our team needs as we continue to grow in North America and beyond.”
