WarnerMedia taps Alpha Networks for Toonami Max development

WarnerMedia has selected Alpha Networks to manage the publication and editorialisation of content for its Toonami Max SVOD service.

The SVOD utilises the vendor’s tucano modular back-end solution, while Alpha Networks white label design studio HXperience has also developed the front-end application following Warner’s brand guidelines.

Toonami Max is a standalone streaming service available in France to Orange subscribers. It is based around the content of the Toonami channel, with more than 400 titles including well-known IP from DC and Marvel, along with anime series like Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia.

Bertrand Schontz, Director of distribution and operations for the French-speaking territories, Israel & Africa at WarnerMedia Networks, said: “Alpha Networks has developed the solutions we required to meet the needs and consumption patterns of the fans of our SVOD service Toonami Max: ultra-connected users always craving for new content. The dexterity and responsiveness of the Content Animation feature by Alpha Networks makes it easier and faster to interact with subscribers, by allowing them to choose the content that suits them while delivering it with a pleasant and ergonomic design.”

Guillaume Devezeaux, CMO at Alpha Networks, said: “Alpha Networks provides a powerful feature to support editors in their daily job. Content animation is an all-in-one tool, allowing collaborative working, flexible publication of content thanks to accurate preview in editing mode and a vast list of design sets. We aim at becoming the strategic partner of content editors and facilitate the distribution of their services to operators.”
