Benshi, the French SVOD platform for children aged 3 to 11, has teamed up with technology outfit Wiztivi to deploy Benshi’s service on Samsung smart TVs and Android TVs.
As the service is intended for young children, the features have been adapted to their use with a graphic design creating a reassuring environment while simplified thematic search allows, from any chosen category, all corresponding content to be found on a single page, according to Wiztivi.
From the Benshi application on Samsung Smart TVs, subscribers will have access to a catalogue of more than 200 films selected by children’s cinema professionals, with guidance, age recommendation for each film and detailed opinions on the film in question.
Adrien Desanges, President and founder of Benshi, said: “To adapt to the customs of families, we felt it was essential to distribute our service on television. We are very happy with the Smart TV application we developed with WIZTIVI. Intuitive, simple and powerful, it will enable all our users to enjoy great cinematic moments with their families. Our presence on Smart TVs marks a new stage in our development and confirms our desire to expand our service on TVs. We look forward to working with Wiztivi again in the future.”
Ari Bensimon, CEO at Wiztivi, said: “We are very happy to have been able to collaborate with Benshi in this exciting project of extension to new markets. Thanks to TimelessUI Universe, we were able to provide them with our expertise on Samsung and Android TV. In return, Benshi, thanks to its long-standing experience, has enabled us to enrich our services to the youngest. We would like to thank Benshi for the quality of this ambitious partnership and we have no doubt that they will meet the success they deserve in their new projects.”
