The new service, World of Basketball, airs 24 hours a day and is free-to-view. The channel is available to all Akado digital TV subscribers, airing on channel 307.
The channel’s owner said that viewers of the World of Basketball TV channel will be able to see a unique collection of the best matches of the World and European Championships with the participation of Russian national teams and the best teams of the planet.
Also on air are broadcasts of the championships of the Spanish League of Endesa and the King’s Cup, matches of the women’s Premier League, the men’s and women’s Cups of Russia, Super League 1 and archive matches, according to a representative.
“Sport is very popular among the Akado audience. Therefore, we are constantly expanding the volume of sports TV content. This new TV channel is dedicated to basketball – one of the most popular and spectacular sports loved by millions of people around the world,” said Pavel Karakhtintsev, director of the Akado content management department.
