Following its launch on Virgin and Sky in the UK earlier this month, pay TV channel La Liga TV has announced a January 29 rollout in Spain.

The channel will be available to Sky Ireland customers who subscribe to the Sports Extra bundle, which is available as an additional €10 per month cost for Sky Sports customers – or at a standalone price of €34 per month, with the first six months offered for €17 per month . La Liga TV will sit alongside BT Sport 1, 2, 3, ESPN, and Premier Sports 1 and 2 in this package.

The channel broadcasts every single La Liga match, alongside a range of magazine and documentary programming. Launching in Ireland should help the league in its aim “to be as visible as possible,” according to La Liga president Javier Tebas who spoke at the channel’s UK launch earlier this month.

JD Buckley, CEO Sky Ireland, said: “This is fantastic news for sports fans who want all the action in one place. We are delighted to be able to offer Sports Extra customers top class LaLiga fixtures via LaLigaTV on top of a wealth of football action on the Sports Extra pack.”
