DAZN acquires exclusive Club World Cup rights for Spain

Sports streamer DAZN has picked up the exclusive broadcast rights to the semi-finals and the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Spain. 

The eight-match knockout tournament features six Confederations club champions and one club from the host nation. It takes place in Qatar between December 11-21. The semi-finals take place today and tomorrow, while the final will be staged in Doha.

DAZN had previously confirmed it has also acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the competition in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, as it had previously in 2018. 

Elsewhere, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU)’s Eurovision Sport picked up the rights for 37 territories including Poland, Portugal and the Republic of Ireland will see free-to-air coverage of the tournament. The UK, which is represented by Uefa Champions League winners Liverpool, will see FTA coverage on the BBC.
