SPI/Filmbox names ex- Doğan exec as marketing chief

Channels provider SPI/FilmBox has named Haymi Behar as chief marketing officer. In this newly created role, Behar will lead SPI’s international brand marketing efforts and will be responsible for advancing SPI’s brand reputation across all platforms, strategic communications, media planning and buying, media relations and publicity.

Behar will work closely with SPI’s distribution sales teams and clients across cable, broadcast TV, telecom operators and on-demand services.

Before joining SPI, Behar served in a number of roles with Turkey’s Dogan Media, latterly as VP of digital media and sales where he led the digitisation processes at Doğan TV, including for flagship brands Kanal D and CNN Turk.

Behar also helped launch Turkish OTT service BLUTV and led digital marketing efforts at news outlet Hürriyet. He was also co-founder of blog network Boomads and earlier founded Turkey’s first online kids and youth platform Tipeez.com.
