Sky Deutschland is launching a pop-up TV channel dedicated to comic book superheroes.
The channel, Sky Cinema Comic-Helden HD, which will air from September 24 until October 7, will hinge on the exclusive TV premier of movie Justice League with ben Affleck and Gal Gadot on October 30, which brings multiple superheroes from different franchises together.
Other movies to air on the channel include Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Tim Burton’s Batman moves, Spiderman: Homecoming and Wonder Woman.
The premiere of Justice League and other movies on the channel will also be available via the Sky Ticket low-cost service similar to the UK’s Now TV. Justice League will be available in the UHD TV format to Sky Q users.
Sky has experimented with multiple pop-up channels in the past. Last year the operator in the UK aired short-lived channels dedicated to Halloween, the Oscars, science-fiction and Christmas.
