OSN launches new all-inclusive pricing model for WAVO

OSN has changed the pricing structure of its online streaming service, WAVO, from various skinny bundle options to an all-in-one tariff.

OSN’s new all-inclusive price gives viewers in the Middle East access to WAVO’s full line-up of entertainment, movie and sports for US$9.99 per-month.

The previous pricing structure offered WAVO Entertainment for US$9.99 per month; WAVO Movies for US$6.99 per month; and WAVO Sports for either US$4.99 per day, US$7.99 per week or US$13.99 per month. Users could also opt for the WWE Network App for US$9.99 per month.

“With an incredibly dynamic and ever-changing OTT landscape, user expectations continue to evolve and we believe it is essential to augment our offerings based on customer’s needs, which is why we are now offering a new all-inclusive price and packaging proposition,” said OSN’s CEO, Martin Stewart.

“This straightforward offering ultimately, gives people what they want – access to a larger diversity of popular entertainment, movies and sports at great value, with no contract or forms to fill in.

“For one price, customers no longer need to navigate multiple prices and packs, but will instead get all that they look forward to in one bundle, gaining access to all the entertainment WAVO has to offer at even more value across all platforms – smartphones, Smart TVs, tablets, laptops and desktops.”

WAVO offers 26 live TV channels including Sky News, OSN First, HBO, Comedy Central and the Paramount Channel, as well as sports like MotoGP. WAVO also has more than 40 hours of Arabic and English original short-form content that is made in the Middle East. A company spokesperson told DTVE that no content reductions will be made in line with WAVO’s new pricing model.

OSN launched WAVO last August, making the new streaming service available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
