Video technology provider Harmonic has named former Roku president David Krall to its board.
Krall is currently a strategic adviser to Roku, having previously served as president chief operating officer of the streaming technology outfit. He also serves on the boards of Progress Software, Universal Audio and Audinate.
Earlier in his career, Krall was president and CEO of credit card security company QSecure and also served as chief executive of media creation tools provider Avid Technology.
“I’m delighted to welcome David to our board. David’s extensive executive leadership and board experience, and particularly his strong digital and streaming media background, make him an excellent addition. We look forward to David’s insights and guidance as we continue to transform the video and broadband industries with our OTT SaaS and virtualized cable access solutions,” said Patrick Harshman, president and CEO of Harmonic.
“Harmonic is well positioned to drive a new phase of growth through its market-leading VOS OTT streaming and new CableOS virtualised cable access innovations. I am looking forward to helping the company deliver on its market leadership and shareholder value creation vision,” said Krall.
