Viacom’s Nick Jr has launched in Portugal. The channel is carried exclusively on pay TV operator NOS’s platform.
The launch will bring content including Petroleum Pete and Dora the Explorer to young NOS viewers.
Nick Jr is targeted at two-to-six year olds.
“This reinforcing of NOS’s offering for young viewers is another step towards providing the content that our customers request most and more evidence of the company’s commitment to provide exclusive and differentiated entertainment offerings on all screens,” said Alexandre Martins, director of fixed products at NOS.
“We are very excited about Nick Jr’s arrival in Portugal. Being able to extend the Nickeoldeon offering, involving, stimulating and accompanying our audience from the age of two is of great importance to us. We know how much this audience loves our globally successful content, so having it on our channel with new and exclusive seasons, will be fantastic,” said Victor Mourão, VP and general manager of MTV and Nickelodeon Portugal.
