UPC Czech Republic adds new channels to Horizon offering

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Czech Republic is adding a raft of new channels, including three from the SPI International/Filmbox staple, to its Horizon advanced TV offering.

The operator is adding FightBox HD, DocuBox HD and Fast&FunBox HD from SPI International to the Horizon line-up, along with Mezzo Live HD and Euronews HD.

The inclusion of the new services follows the addition last month of Cartoon Network HD, War TV and Film+ HD. UPC Czech Republic’s Horizon offering now includes over 180 channels, including up to 67 in HD.

The addition of the new channels follows the launch of UPC’s Happy Home offeringat the beginning of September, focused on entertainment for all members of the family.

UPC Czech Republic and Slovakia CEO Martin Miller said that the company was “continuing to fulfil our promise to provide a varied and rich programme offering”.
