TF1 names news chief

French commercial broadcaster TF1 has named Thierry Thuillier as deputy CEO in charge of its news and information services.

Thuillier, who replaces Catherine Nayl, will be charged with defining the news editorial guidelines for TF1 and news channel LCI and their digital offshoots. His objective will be to maintain TF1’s leadership position in its daily flagship news show and to progress the development of LCI and its digital offer. He will also be tasked with taking forward the group’s Info 2020 project to transform gthe service.

Thuillier rejoined TF1 last year as a period at France Télévisions, latterly as director-general of flagship channel France 2. At TF1, he took the role of CEO of LCI, and worked alongside Nayl to relaunch the news channel and develop its digital offering.
