Belgian service provider Proximus has named Guillaume Boutin as chief consumer market officer and a member of the company’s executive committee.

Boutin is currently chief marketing officer at Canal+ Group, having joined the pay TV outfit in 2015 after serving as director of the chairman’s office, chief financial officer and as chief marketing officer at French service provider SFR.

Boutin, who will take up his new position in September, will replace Phillip Vandervoort, who left Proximus in February.

“I am particularly delighted to inform you that Guillaume Boutin will join our executive committee as chief consumer market officer,” said Proximus CEO Dominique Leroy.

“Agile and with a very strong mix of strategic, financial and marketing experiences in the telecom and the media sectors in France, Guillaume has gained a very deep knowledge and understanding of market dynamics and business models, qualities which will be of utmost importance in his position as chief consumer market officer. I am therefore convinced that his role as member of our executive committee as well as head of the consumer business unit will be of key importance to help us face our challenges and opportunities and continue delivering strong results.”
