European Broadcasting Union (EBU) president Jean Paul Philippot has been named as a member of the multi-stakeholder advisory group of the Internet Governance Forum (IGG), an advisory group to the UN.
Philippot will represent the media community on the IGF’s advisory group, which brings together representatives of governments, civil society, the private sector and technology.
The advisory group has been tasked with providing advice on preparations for the 12th meeting of the IGF, which is scheduled to take place in Geneva, where the EBU is based, in December.
