The International Olympic Committee’s (IOC’s) new digital service has launched online and as an app for Android and iOS devices.
The Olympic Channel, which the IOC unveiled details of in July, launches with content from around the world including original shows, news and highlights.
“The launch of Olympic Channel is a key milestone for the Olympic Movement and a result of Olympic Agenda 2020,” said IOC president Thomas Bach.
“It is the start of an exciting, new journey for athletes, fans and new generations to connect with sport and the Olympic values every day of the year.”
The new platform will offer long and short-form original programming, live sports events, news and highlights in a bid to offer “additional exposure for sports and athletes all year round”.
