Rani Raad has been upped at the international arm of Turner-owned news net CNN, taking the newly-created role of president, CNN International Commercial.
Turner reorganised commercial activity at CNNInternational in 2013 under Raad’s leadership. In his new role he will oversee all international commercial activity, including data-driven online programmatic ad sales.
He has been upped from EVP and chief commercial officer and said: “As the world’s news leader, our commitment to innovation underpins our commercial activities as well as the brand’s editorial output.
“I look forward to being part of this change as we bring to market even more sophisticated, data-driven and creative solutions for our wide range of commercial partners.”
Gerhard Zeiler, president, Turner International said: “Rani has a remarkable track record in leading a diverse portfolio of commercial initiatives across international markets.”
As well as CNN, Raad runs Turner’s kids and entertainment channels in Turkey and the Middle East.
