Altice completes Cabovisão sale

Altice has completed the sale of Portuguese cable operator Cabovisão and business-focused telco Oni Telecom to funds led by Apax France.

The sale was forced on Altice to secure regulatory approval for its €7.4 million acquisition of Portugal Telecom. Cabovisão is Portugal’s second largest cable operator after Nos and has about 200,000 subscribers out of 900,000 homes passed. Altice acquired the company for about €45 million five uyears ago. It acquired Oni Telecom for €80 million 21013.
