ProSiebenSat.1 expands e-commerce activities

Germany broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 is expanding further into e-commerce with the acquisition of online flight-booking service Etraveli for €235 million.

The broadcaster’s 7Travel investment subsidiary has acquired Etraveli from Nordic private equity group Segulah IV, and the acquisition is subject to approval by Germany’s Bundeskartellamt and the Austrian equivalent.

Etraveli is ProSiebenSat.1’s largest international investment in e-commerce to date and is seen as a good fit tfor 7Tfavel’s portfolio of investments.
