Mediaset in streaming deal with Tiscali

Italy’s Mediaset has signed a deal with Cagliari-based broadband service provider Tiscali that will see it offer a selection of TV services in streaming mode on Tiscali’s network.

Mediaset content will be offered via the Tiscali.it and Istella.it portals and will be indexed by the Istella.it search engine.

Advertising will be handled by Mediamond, a unit of Mediaset-owned Publitalia.

The deal follows recent agreements between Mediaset and broadband service providers Vodafone and Telecom Italia.
