AOL UK has appointed Hamish Nicklin as its new managing director. Nicklin was previously director of agency sales at Google UK.
Nicklin, who will report to AOL international chief Graham Moysey, replaces Noel Penzer, who was recently named as Time Out Group’s European managing director.
Nicklin has been director of agency sales at Google since the end of 2013, having previously worked as head of YouTube UK and creative agency sales.
“I have always admired AOL as a pioneer in the digital space and am delighted to be joining the business at an exciting time of innovation and growth. AOL’s entrepreneurial credentials really attracted me to the role and after nine years with Google, I look forward to new challenges as AOL UK takes the lead in a fast-moving and vibrant digital marketplace,” said Nicklin.
