Richards, who brings 25 years of industry experience with him, was previously executive vice president, operations, at Walt Disney Television International.
Since 2007 he has served as a senior partner at business consultancy firm Ravensbeck and was most recently appointed to the role of chairman of the partnership board of IBC.
