Tele2 Austria launches TV service

Tele2 Austria has launched a TV service as part of a new triple-play offering in partnership with digital-terrestrial pay TV provider simpliTV.

The alternative telco is offering three different packages from €17.80, with the TV service also available separately for €10 a month to existing customers.

A basic Günstig service includes 8Mbps internet for €17.80 for the first three months and €26.80 thereafter. A medium Schneller pack provides 20Mbps for €24.90 for three months and €33.90 thereafter, while a Superschneller pack delivers 30Mbps for €29.90 for three months and €38.90 thereafter.

The TV service provides up to 40 channels including HD services ORFeins, ORF2, ServusTV, ARD, ZDF, RTL, Pro7, Sat1 and Vox. Recordings are possible via an integrated recording function for USB Flash drive or external hard drive.
